A time-served p-way designer, project manager and engineer, James oversees the day-to-day operations of SEP Rail Design.
Taking a holistic, big picture approach to problem-solving, his flexible, analytical, and pragmatic attitude to leadership has been key to the growth of SEP Rail Design since 2019, cementing its position as a highly respected, multi-disciplinary rail design consultancy.
Passionate about setting a positive example for all those he supports, the health, safety and wellbeing of his team has always been James’ number one priority. Indeed, much of his time is spent assessing and mitigating operational risks whilst periodically auditing the effectiveness and implementation of the firm’s HSES management system.

Graduating from university with a degree in Engineering, James’ career in rail began as a p-way design engineer for Colas Railway Infrastructure back in 2006. Since then, he’s worked in a variety of project management positions within the rail industry, also working extensively within the Oil and Gas exploration industry, specifically in and around Papua New Guinea.
