An IRATA-qualified, 20 year rope access veteran, Andy has provided specialist access support to a whole host of different industries over the years, from oil and gas, to petrochemicals, rail, renewables and the nuclear energy sector.
Starting his career as a Rope Access Technician, he spent the next two decades helping the likes of Bilfinger and Stork, joining SEP Culant in 2021 as a Project Manager, before moving swiftly through the ranks to his current positions of Head of Operations, Rope Access Manager, and IRATA Technical Authority.
Overseeing the day-to-day management of all operations, Andy is responsible for the development and maintenance of internal procedures, systems and health and safety as well as ensuring compliance with the company’s various accreditations and management systems. As IRATA TA and Rope Access Manager, he’s tasked with ensuring that all aspects of the Company’s rope access work and compliance are managed effectively, including planning, safety, and audits.

- Decommissioning of BP’s 20,300t, 163m high Miller oil rig in the North Sea
- Removal of 3,000 glazing panels on Hinkley Point nuclear power station via rope access
- Working on the world’s largest floating production storage and offloading vessel (Skarv) in the fields around Norway
