We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Drainage Project Manager to join our dynamic team within the utilities industry.
This role is critical in overseeing and directing drainage projects from inception to completion, ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, surveying, cleaning and a robust understanding of drainage systems.
You will be responsible for coordinating with engineers, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure smooth project execution. As a Drainage Project Manager, you will lead project planning, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies, ensuring all activities comply with environmental regulations and industry standards. Additionally, you will cultivate strong client relationships, ensuring their needs are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Project Manager responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of drainage projects from start to finish.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure successful delivery.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs meet specifications and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure projects remain on scope, schedule, and budget.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify challenges and develop robust mitigation strategies.
- Lead project meetings, fostering collaboration and effective communication among stakeholders.
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Project Manager responsibilities
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management within the drainage industry.
- Experience in utilities, industrial and rail is advantageous.
- Proficiency in project management principles, including planning, risk assessment and resource allocation.
- Strong understanding of drainage systems and water management principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate multi-disciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
