SEP Rail Services is looking to recruit an experienced Land Surveyor with a background in the water industry to support a growing programme of work across the North East and Yorkshire.

This role is primarily site based, working across water, utilities and infrastructure environments. You will be responsible for delivering accurate land and topographical surveys, supporting project teams on live sites and contributing to the safe, efficient delivery of works. Responsibilities

  • Deliver land and topographical surveys across water and infrastructure sites
  • Set up and operate survey equipment including Total Stations, GNSS and associated geomatics tools
  • Collect, verify and manage field data in line with project and client requirements
  • Support utility and asset mapping activities where required
  • Process survey data and assist with production of outputs, drawings and reports
  • Work closely with engineers, project managers and site teams to ensure accurate delivery
  • Maintain survey equipment, vehicles and documentation
  • Adhere to company and client health and safety procedures on all sites
  • Travel across the North East and Yorkshire as required for site work
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of survey processes and site practices

Requirements

  • Experience working on clean water, wastewater or utilities frameworks is essential
  • Experience carrying out topographical surveys in live operational environments
  • CSCS card
  • CABWI qualification or relevant water industry certification
  • Experience using Total Stations and GNSS equipment
  • Ability to work independently on site and as part of a wider delivery team
  • Strong understanding of site safety, risk awareness and compliance
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for site-based work
