Are you an experienced Drainage Engineer with railway experience?
Following continued growth in our rail division, we’re looking to recruit both a Drainage Engineer and a Senior Drainage Engineer with proven railway experience.
With a strong pipeline of upcoming rail work across the UK, this is an opportunity to join a team known for doing things the right way: safely, professionally, and with pride.
Drainage Engineer responsibilities
Depending on your level of experience, your day-to-day responsibilities could include:
- Assisting or leading CCTV surveys of drainage systems
- Operating or supporting high-pressure jetting equipment
- Installing patch liners and undertaking other remedial works
- Lifting and securing manhole covers
- Entering and working in confined spaces
- Maintaining drainage vehicles and equipment
- Plotting drawings and recording site information
- Supporting or leading site teams to complete works safely and efficiently
- Responding to emergency callouts (where required)
Drainage Engineer requirements
- Experience in rail drainage works (essential)
- Minimum 5 years’ rail experience
- PTS, AC, and DCCR required
- COSS qualification (advantageous but not essential)
- A full UK driving licence
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
- Experience in drainage, civils or utilities (advantageous but not essential)
- Valid CSCS card (desirable)
- Experience in rail drainage works (desirable)
