Drainage Engineer

We’re looking for two Drainage Engineers to join our team in Widnes. Whether you’re just starting out in the industry or bring years of experience, we’d like to hear from you. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be working across the Knowsley area on a 7 year framework contract. You’ll be in a team of two with a Gully driver, taking lead on a variety of drainage activities, including: CCTV surveys, high-pressure jetting, remedial work and confined space entry.

Drainage Engineer responsibilities

Depending on your level of experience, your day-to-day responsibilities could include:

• Assisting or leading CCTV surveys of drainage systems
• Operating or supporting high-pressure jetting equipment
• Installing patch liners and undertaking other remedial works
• Lifting and securing manhole covers
• Entering and working in confined spaces
• Maintaining drainage vehicles and equipment
• Plotting drawings and recording site information
• Supporting or leading site teams to complete works safely and efficiently
• Responding to emergency callouts (where required)

Drainage Engineer requirements

• A full UK driving licence
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
• Experience in drainage, civils or utilities (advantageous but not essential)
• Valid CSCS card (desirable)
• Experience in rail drainage works (desirable)
