SEP Drainage is looking to recruit a Planner to join our team at the Middlesbrough depot.
This role is all about keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. Working alongside our operations team, you’ll plan and package up works for our tier one clients, making sure everything runs smoothly from first enquiry to final delivery. You’ll manage multiple workstreams at once, balancing priorities and adapting quickly when things change. It suits someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys problem-solving and takes pride in keeping operations on track.
This role would suit someone with 3+ years experience in drainage, utilities or civils planning.

Responsibilities
- Review drainage plans provided by our clients and understand what’s needed to deliver each package of works
- Identify additional requirements such as permits, road closures and letter drops
- Feed information back to the client clearly and accurately
- Plan and coordinate reactive, scheduled and ad-hoc work across multiple projects
- Liaise with the operations team to allocate staff and resources effectively
- Prioritise and manage workloads to meet deadlines and service targets
- Keep track of outstanding work and adjust plans as priorities shift
- Keep systems up to date with accurate job and scheduling information
- Handle general planning admin, including managing inboxes and processing updates
Requirements
- 3+ years planning experience in drainage, utilities or civils
- Understanding of drainage plans and associated works
- Strong administration and scheduling skills
- Confident using computers and internal systems
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and competing priorities at once
- Able to stay calm under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Clear and confident communicator, especially with internal teams
- Proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills
